Many of us often overlook the importance of having a capable braking system in place to handle the extra power being generated by our performance-tuned dream machines. Prime examples are street-driven Miatas dropping 250-plus hp utilizing the factory braking system. You'd think a vehicle making two to three times more power than stock would have a braking system to match, but most people overlook this aspect of vehicle performance.
May we remind you that Miatas were originally designed as an economy roadster, not a race car. The factory braking system was designed with econobox speeds in mind, not triple-digit speeds. Ever try coming to a complete halt from 100 mph in a Miata? It's not the best stopping vehicle.
Track-ready oriented performance and high-tech style come with oversized rotors, forged billet Dynapro calipers, and high performance Wilwood SmartPads. These big brake stoppers are loaded to provide the perfect look with your wheel, tire, and suspension upgrades. These front hat kits are fully compatible with OE master cylinder output, while retaining full factory ABS functions. The choice is yours for big stopping power--choose Wilwood Forged Dynapro Big Brake front hat kits.

I have a set of Work Meisters CR01. Clears the barrel fine, but the bolts on the back of the faces come into contact with the calipers.
My specs are 15x10 +7 with O-disk faces.
Just a little something to keep in mind when purchasing because I haven't really seen anyone with this setup. The quality of this kit is definitely there. I would buy this again if given the opportunity. -
fantastic big brake kit at a great price. however...
So i actually bought these and installed them a little while ago and have not left a review till now.
So dont get me wrong, these are fantastic but i did not do proper research prior.
These 6 piston dynapro calipers were installed on my 97' NA daily driver.
(This is all personal taste and may not hold true for everyone, and in no way do i mean the braking was bad)
However, the factory 7/8" bore brake master would give a inch and a half of "dead zone" before the brake would really "come on".
To remedy this, i bought a booster and 15/16" bore brake master outnof a 2003 NB miata. (Booster has to be changed for 15/16" and 1" bore brake masters) . To my mistake, i bought the abs brake master that has 2 outputs from the brake master and my car is non abs and uses 3 outputs. 2 for the front, one for rear.
I just bought a rebuild brake master of a non abs 2003 NB and bled the system all out.
Good freakin lord!!! Mind blowing feel, control, and throw-you-through-the-windshield like braking!!
It maybe just physiologically, but it feels like it stops MUCH harder than my brother's 91 NA with 4 pot dynalite in the fromt and sport, 2 piece, aluminum hatted rear rotors with the factory calipers recentered over the larger rotor.
I just have factory 1.8 rears with new metal master pads. The default pads in the front are a great street pad! Very good bite and modulation when everything is correctly connected (unlike my car a few days ago with 1 line of the hard lines disconnected due to the wrong brake master)
There are just slightly more than the base big brake dynalite kit and the pad is almost 1 inch wider and 1 inch taller.
MUCH more friction surface material.
The base BBK use to be cheaper, when my brother bought them.
Powder coated red calipers also did not cost extra.
I could be wrong but the same may happen to these badboys so i say, get un while the gettinz good!!
