Fab9 EFR Builders Kit Installation! An installation walkthrough from a customer!

Fab9 EFR Builders Kit Installation! An installation walkthrough from a customer!

If you're looking for our EFR System like Jeremy, ORDER HERE! If you fall more into the "street" use and still want a TON of fun, order the more complete Fab9 GT Turbo System HERE

As you know we offer two different turbo systems for the NC chassis. The EFR System is far less of a "kit" with some open ends to change things as your more wild build might require. Sensors, fuel injectors, MAF housing size are all configurable. We've deemed this the "Builder Kit" for that reason.

It was designed back in 2016, targeting what WE wanted out of an NC. A ton of horsepower, right? We had this idea that if we're going to produce a NEW system for the NC, we were going to build a fairly wild, no holds chunk of components to introduce. The markets best turbocharger, full sch40 stainless tubular exhaust manifold. CNC'd head flange, V-Band 3" downpipe, 515 horsepower capable intercooler, the list goes on. If you're looking to outfit a track prepped NC or something north of 300whp, this is the setup for you!

We manufactured over 100 of them before we realized that most of the guys who are completing these installs were on stock 2.0L engines and didn't need anything near the output capabilities of the Fab9 EFR system.

In 2019 we went back to the drawing board and manufactured the Fab9 GT Turbo System. A very complete, Garrett based, top mount based turbo system that's been crushing it ever since. It's now a 10/1 ratio of kit sales, favoring the more complete, GT System. You order the GT System, install it and send us your vehicle information for a tune. Done and done!

The GT System ended up with a super complete installation document with full color photos and step-by-step instructions that are very shade tree mechanic friendly. Something we never really did visit on the EFR builder kit.

Our friend Jeremy, falls somewhere in the middle with his total dual duty street/track build. The first week, he took this car to a road course and let it eat. Check out the video below for his install details, this might help you guys decide between a more PNP solution or if you're shooting for the moon on horsepower, the EFR Low Mount System.

Like the video, follow Jeremy, super cool dude:
