The FAB9 Stage 1 350hp Intercooler might be the last intercooler you'll ever need to buy. Utilizing the well known and trusted high quality Vibrant Air-to-Air bar and plate intercooler cores, these units will support a 350hp power plant. This intercooler requires no modification and secures using existing mounting holes on your NA and NB Miata. The installation is basic. Customers report having the installation complete in about 1 hour. The 350hp intercooler is recommended for most mid sized turbo applications including supercharged setups. Should only be used when producing MINIMAL 170hp (Estimated Crank).

Can be adapted to the MSM pipes. For MSM installation you'll need to cut the charge pipes back wide enough for your new big boy intercooler, then install these couplers/clamps to complete the job.
***Notice: The top and bottom protective plates do not have air traveling through them. They almost unavoidably become damaged in shipping, despite packing efforts. It's not exposed during the installation and doesn't change the performance of the intercooler. If damage occurs that either cosmetically once installed, or functionally effects the intercooler we are happy to start a claim with the shipping company and resolve it! We just want to manage expectations with shipping heavy aluminum products.

Great Product!
This is a great product for anyone looking for a direct bolt-on intercooler that can support big power. It’s perfectly sized for a Miata, as it allows for air to still reach the radiator and AC condenser. Easy install, and the welds are flawless. Highly reccomend!

Perfect
Everything as described. Bolted right into the factory tow hook locations. No clearance issues. If you have accessories like aftermarket tow hook or the GarageStar Type 1 License Plate bracket, you will need a longer bolt to run them or remove the acc. completely. Definitely recommend if you're on the fence.

High quality and virtualy no wait time
High quality piece once I got it in and looked it over. Bolted right up to where OEM tow hooks went. Unfortunately, now I cannot use my Garagestar license plate relocator. SUPER easy install however.

The way this fits and bolts up couldn't be any better!
The core is also efficient and with minimal pressure drop.
You will need to change to an aftermarket tow hook. -
Why buy FM?
Finally got to try this new intercooler out on my MSM with the LE kit on a warm track day, bought more than 6 months ago when a similar unit cost 2x as much from a rival company. Provided a noticeable cooling effect to boosted air temp especially when compared to the stock matchbox sized stock IC. Doesn't seem to affect air flow to the radiator too much either. Overall I am happy with this purchase and would recommend to any MSM or turbo Miata/MX5 owner.
