Valve Springs Mazda Miata 1990-1997, 1999-2005, Ford Escort(1991-1996)

Upgrading your valve springs is a necessary component when modifying your Mazda BP engine.  The OEM seat pressure is intended to work with relatively light applications.  If you plan on pushing your motor beyond the 7k redline you’d better have the necessary components to hang, and we’ve got just what you’re looking for.

These spring ratings are based on install height. The variations between sets alter inner springs and install heights. 1mm equates to a 10lbs increase in seat pressure. Please see the chart below to reach the desired number during your install. 

90-93 Single Spring – 58lbs SPRK-MM16S (Install height of 34.6mm)

90-93 Single Spring – 68lbs SPRK-MM16S (Install height of 33.6mm)

94-05 Single Spring – 54lbs SPRK-MM18S (Install height of 34.6mm)

94-05 Single Spring – 63lbs SPRK-MM18S (Install height of 33.6mm)

94-05 Dual Spring – 63lbs SPRK-1012-M18D (Install height of 34.6mm)

94-05 Dual Spring – 73lbs SPRK-1012-M18D (Install height of 33.6mm)

94-05 Dual Spring - 75lbs SPRK-MM18D (Install height of 34.6mm)

94-05 Dual Spring - 85lbs SPRK-MM18D (Install height of 33.6mm)

There are three options to choose from depending on your usage:

Single spring - 8000rpm

Light double spring - 8400rpm

Heavy double spring - revs to 9000rpm
