These are NOW IN STOCK and ND2 COMPATIBLE!
The ND Miata does the fast-slow-car thing arguably better than anything on today's market. I've found myself saying over and over again "Man, if this little guy had just a bit of power behind it...". The Edelbrock supercharger is just about the perfect solution. Perfect in the sense that the power delivery is instant, there are fewer components than other solutions and the componentry is on an OEM level of quality.
This is a complete Plug and Play Edelbrock E-Force supercharger system using the TVS900, a roots-type design supercharger. This system is very compact leaving you with a factory looking installation and not so factory, instantaneous power delivery! The kit utilizes an integrated water-air intercooler, a self-contained oiling system with a 100k service interval requirement. Emissions? This system is currently 50 state legal when purchased with the tuning solution as a CARB legal version (CARB approval pending).
Engineered specifically for the 2.0L SkyActiv-G I4 engine:
- Features short runner design for a less restrictive, more responsive setup.
- Designed from the ground-up and utilizes the Eaton Gen VI 900 TVS rotor assembly for maximum efficiency in a compact package
- Supplied with preformed hoses for ease of installation - no trimming required
- Self contained oil system with 100,000 mile service interval
Application Notes:
No tune is included with this variant of the kit, you must contact your Tuner for tuning, see our choices on this site under the "Engine" section. This version of the kit is NOT CARB approved.
NOTICE: This does not ship internationally or outside of the contiguous US. Flash points are not included with the Fab9 Tuning Suite - Many of these cars have already been calibrated so it's a separate purchase.

Amazing Power Adder
I installed this kit myself with some helping hands a couple of weeks ago. First off, I ordered right before a holiday weekend, so I had to call Fab9 a couple of times to get my order. I got the supercharger nearly immediately afterwards, but it took another week to get the Ecutek tuner. I ended up installing the kit (not too difficult if you've had years of wrenching experience), but waiting on the tuner. So the car just sat in my garage. Once I got the tuner about a week later, I ran into issues downloading the Ecutek app. Luckily, Fab9 was very helpful assisting me last-minute (just before to just after 5pm EST) getting the download to finally go through (whew!!). Once I finally drove the car, WOW. No Youtube video does the pulley whine justice. It's not super pronounced, but it's there and it's awesome. The car makes great power. The only issues I had with the E1 tune was that cruise would activate, but not actually do anything. Calling Fab9 and getting in touch with Bryan fixed that. I also asked for the rev-match capability along with the cruise control fix, but it wasn't present in my tune, so over a month later I still don't have that, I just haven't bothered to call Fab9 again. My cruise works now, as long as I'm going at least 70mph. Setting it between 60-70mph works fine on a flat road, but as soon as I hit an incline, the car loses speed as if it's not applying enough throttle. Cold starts are temperamental compared to stock. The car will quickly rev to 2-2.5k and bounce around, so my neighbors probably think I have the Harley mentality revving my car even though that's just what it does (and I'm still on stock exhaust so nothing loud and crazy). I did call Fab9 about this and was told this is normal. Oh well. The car revs to 7400 RPM now and pulls hard. This kit doesn't include a boost gauge but judging by the pulley whine it seems to come on around 2,250RPM and pull from there on up. Driving the car like a grandpa and shifting at 3K, the car has noticeably more torque in 3rd gear pulling from 2k RPM.
Edelbrock-specific: (out of Fab9's control)
My only other nitpick is that I'm really not a fan of the hose fitment, but that's on Edelbrock and not Fab9. The secondary coolant line was a complete pain to route. Edelbrock left the sound tube firewall plug out of my kit and never responded to me when I contacted them, so I had to find the part number and order it from my local Mazda dealer. But I did get all the auto transmission hardware I didn't need, I guess. -

Oh My God this is Sweet
I absolutely love this Supercharger. It drives like stock until wanted. No whine or noise as feared, nice and quiet.

I'm extremely pleased with the deal
Well, I'm one of the lucky ones that got the install from Fab9. I'm extremely pleased with the deal. I brought my car by his shop and dropped it off. Bryan gave me a lift back to my motel in his Ceramic Club (sweet ride). We talked once or twice via phone later in the afternoon and he drove my car back with Mac (2nd wrench) following in the Club. The first words from his mouth were "awesome" and I have to agree.
It's got 12 hours of runtime from the time we left Detroit and got back home, varying the throttle time and a few stops along the way and she had no problem when I needed to maneuver here or there on the road - she just pulled and pulled. This morning Bryan called and he walked me through the latest tune he'd gotten from Edlebrock for an auto equipped car. My ride now runs real, real sweet and my hat's off the Bryan and Fab9 for making this happen. They done real good. Thanks guys!
