This Plug and Play Haltech 1500 Elite management system is your ticket to COMPLETE control of your NC MX5 build out. With the included 8ft PNP harness you'll be able to securely mount your ECU in the cabin, further isolated with the included firewall seal.
 
The pre-installed firewall grommet suits a 2" (51mm) hole.
The harness has two optional circuits for OE equipment which should be chosen before placing the order:
- OE cruise control switch on the steering wheel
- OE Air Conditioning Input/Output
The Haltech Elite 1500 ECU supports both versions of NC MX5 CAN so you can keep the factory dash and ABS. It also supports RX-8 CAN in case you swap to the RX-8 ABS. This CAN integration allows the ABS to function as normal and provides the ECU with wheel speed data which can be used in conjunction with multiple ECU functions such as traction control.

    • Flexible tuning setup for Petrol (Gasoline), LPG, Methanol and Ethanol allows you to simply select your fuel type
    • Closed Loop 02 Control - Dual bank control for precise tuning (With optional external CAN O2 Wideband Controller Kit)
    • Knock Control - Synchronized to engine position with high speed digital filtering for accurate detection
    • Variable cam control - Independently control up to 4 camshafts - Requires a minimum of 1 user defined input & output per variable cam
    • Closed Loop Idle Speed Control with learning for consistent idle stability Requires 1 or 2 user defined outputs (BAC type) or 4 user defined outputs (Stepper motor type)
    • Long term learning (Auto tune) on fuel, ignition, cam, boost & idle control maps (up to 4D)
    • On-board data logging - Up to 40 channels of logging at sample rates up to 5ms (200Hz) with 2MB of internal memory
    • Laptop data logging -Data log all available channels directly to your laptop's hard drive for both tuning and diagnostics

    • Tuning Table Resolution up to 32 x 32 x 8
    • Limitless tuning flexibility -Tune your engine by a combination of 4D tuning tables combined with 3D per cylinder compensations and multiple user definable corrections
    • Example tune by a combination of manifold pressure, throttle position, cam position, ethanol content, gear, road speed, race time, EGT, shock travel, ride height or any channel for ultimate flexibility - Dual mapping is a thing of the past.
    • Per Cylinder Tuning Correction - 3D
    • Wideband O2 - Connect up to 9 Channels via CAN expansion devices

    • Flat shift - Optimize your shifting precision via a combination of inputs such as a clutch switch or strain gauge.

    We all know about the Haltech system already and how good of an aftermarket ECU it is, but the real gem in this system is the Harness included. I have to say, that this is probably one of the most professionally made aftermarket products I have purchased. It looks OEM and plugs perfectly into the OEM system in your car. I’d venture to say it’s better than OEM in the appearance department not only in its functionality. Highly recommended buying through FAB 9 if you’re going with an aftermarket ECU alone just because of this plug and play system. Note: you will also need to buy the Haltech WB1 system for Wideband control. If you are going to go flex fuel with this, the aux connector allows you to make a very nice and tidy connection to the flex fuel system.
