ISR’s short shifter for the 1989-1998 Miata cuts shifter throw by about 37.3% and tightens up the slop in the stock lever. It’s a direct bolt-in — no cutting or permanent modification — so it’s one of the simplest ways to make an NA/NB-era gearbox feel the way it should.

The kit is the shifter plus a hardware kit. If your shifter bushings are worn, plan on refreshing them while you’re in there so you get the full benefit of the shorter, tighter throw.
