Fab9 Tuning Exclusive Forged Pistons for the 2016+ ND MX-5 2.0L SkyActiv-G. Select your oversize and compression ratio above to suit your build — standard bore for a refresh, oversize for a bored block, or lower compression for forced induction.

Our forged pistons are manufactured from extruded high-silicone 4032 aluminum alloy (enhanced with additional copper, nickel and magnesium) for low thermal expansion, excellent wear resistance and high thermal conductivity. A multi-step forging process yields a fine structural grain, finished on state-of-the-art CNC machines with multiple heat treatments for high tensile strength and evenly distributed hardness. Contact reduction grooves are standard, pin bores are honed and reamed for precise fit, and every set includes high-strength chrome-moly wrist pins with wire locks. A phosphate dry-lubricant coating protects against micro-welding and improves skirt lubrication.

Engine internals cannot be returned once the package has been opened. Special circumstances reviewed by request; all internals are returned to the manufacturer for inspection and a restocking fee will apply.
